This sketch is based on stryck's beautiful short story, Starlit Rays, about a school of star rays, which are like manta rays that live in deep space and feed on stars. In this scene, a young star ray named Scyne becomes separated from the school when she chases after a comet for a snack.

This is a sketch based on Ellen Million's Elemental, in which her character, Jenny, encounters a fire elemental sent by the well-meaning were-bear(? what do you call someone who is a bear in summer but turns human instead of hibernating?) This is a sketch of warsailor Brelig's encounter with a deathfin sea monster, from Without Fail, a new Torn World story by ysabetwordsmith:

Brelig swiped his sickle toward the bleeding eyelid again -- and the deathfin grabbed him by that arm, lifting him high above the ship. The sudden shock of pain frayed his concentration. Brelig swung in the air, blood raining everywhere. Then he pulled himself upward to swing the axe into the deathfin's eye.

This is shameless fan art of reymonkey's character Damien Stockholm, "a hunter of the supernatural for eighteen years who was known by his business card and reputation as 'the Spectre' and recognized on sight in more than one country". In Just this side of normal, he has been called upon to investigate a reclusive old man suspected by his Oh-So-Normal neighbours of being a vampire. When their suspicions are confirmed, the bounty hunter must decide how to deal with him.

This is a scene from the first book set in clare_dragonfly 's Chatoyant College, the only american university that has classes in magic alongside its more conventional course offerings. All is not what it seems on what, at first, appears to be a normal college campus, and freshman students Annie, Edie, Corrie, Dawn, and Rico soon find themselves fleeing the real reason the nearby forest is forbidden.
