meeksat least book-Watson had Mary by the time Sherlock pulled this. I wonder what'll happen to him while waiting for (the adaptation of) The Adventure of the Empty House. I'm just glad Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss decided not to troll us and confirmed series three as soon as the episode ended.
