at least book-Watson had Mary by the time Sherlock pulled this. I wonder what'll happen to him while waiting for (the adaptation of) The Adventure of the Empty House. I'm just glad Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss decided not to troll us and confirmed series three as soon as the episode ended.

Did the new series end on a spoiler again?

Kinda...but I guess they wanted to be sure people won't think it's really over even if they haven't read the originals.

This was my favorite episode of the 6 so far. I can't believe it just keeps getting better and better! Every element was pretty much pitch perfect and I found it deeply gratifying to see that they were already laying the ground work for next season before this season ended - what with Sherlock going to Molly and all.

John at the grave broke my heart. "Stop. Just stop this now." *wibble* Seriously, why aren't they just giving Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch ALL the awards?

Yes, I also loved how they took the idea of "Holmes playing dead because Moriarty's dangerous minion is out to kill him" and changed it into "Sherlock playing dead because Moriarty's dangerous minion is out to kill John." I don't know if I could have forgiven him so easily for not revealing himself at the grave if he didn't have a really good reason. I can't wait to see how Martin Freeman plays the simultaneous fury and delight at their eventual reunion!
