Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] the_vulture for sending me another tip! I'll be posting two detail views of Teddy's Terrific Travels once I'm done cleaning it up (probably early next week).

Thanks also to [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith and [personal profile] aldersprig for linking my post about possibly crowdfunding an Inkling. I honestly never expected anyone to be that enthusiastic about buying me new art supplies! Working on the Torn World colouring book yesterday made me think that the Inkling might be a really good tool for that sort of inking. Do you guys like colouring pages?

As my cub is 14 months old, coloring books/pages are on my radar of things to buy him. He's not coloring much yet, but it's just a matter of time.

Yes...

I like coloring pages. Usually I just look at them, but occasionally I print them out. I've compiled coloring books for kids a few times, using stuff I found online for free printout. [livejournal.com profile] ellenmillion's coloring books are beautiful things.

Also, I've noticed that fans are pretty enthusiastic about funding raw materials and art supplies. I suspect that the practical as well as the creative aspect appeals to them -- it's something concrete that they can easily understand buying. They know what a pen is and does, even if the Inkling is a super-science-fiction-magic pen that draws on paper and records the image in bits. [livejournal.com profile] haikujaguar does paintbrush fundraisers periodically and those are a big hit. [livejournal.com profile] ellenmillion has been fundraising to decorate a nursery, so blackout curtains and wall paint and such. *ponder* Huh ... wonder if I could get folks to fund me a trip to a scrapbook store sometime?
