This painting was an anniversary gift for my aunt and uncle, whose first question to guests is always "Are you hungry?" They got a framed print with the dedication "You go together like salt and pepper and you bring spice to the lives of the people around you."

This is just absolutely amazing, I love all the realistic textures. I'm jealous of how realistic the background is! What an awesome gift!

This is just beautiful - and such a sweet story to go with it! I bet they absolutely loved it. The painting work is fantastic. It's one of those mediums I can't do a thing with, so whenever someone does something great with it, I'm always impressed. Well done.

Actually, it's digital ;) I used a combination of the watercolour and chalk tools in ArtRage. It's not too different from working in Photoshop (which I know you're good at), and there's a free starter edition (http://www.artrage.com/artrage-demos.html) if you ever feel like giving it a try.
