This is from Wanted: One Gnome, a poem by [livejournal.com profile] minor_architect in which a gardener hires a gnome to stop the rabbits from raiding her vegetables. These characters also appear in sweet iced tea, when the garden gnome shares his expertise to add just the right amount of mint.

*leans forward and oooos*

I like this very much! The gnome (who ought to get a name soon, hmm) looks very much like a cross between one of those garden statues and a living being, which is wonderful (and great for camouflage)! And the rabbits are adorable - even if they are little bulldozers of garden destruction in the poem. >;)

My only tiny nitpick are the glasses the lady is wearing: are they half-moon glasses? If so, those are typically bifocals and since Our Narrator is in her early 30s, I don't think she's old enough for those yet! On the other hand, if they're very squat ovals and I just can't tell that from the rough sketch, you can ignore this criticism. :)

Thanks so much! I'll post linkbacks as soon as I can.

I don't know if this pertains to half-moon glasses (I've never had any), but it's pretty much impossible to be too young for bifocals. I'm 24 and I've had bifocals since I was 8 (glasses since I was 3)!

Then I've just been educated on this point. I've had glasses since the 3rd grade but never knew you could need bifocals that early!
