I like how engaged the child is in the book, how comfortable he sits [it is a little boy, yes?] in the tree.

I really like this! The kid has an expression of wide-eyed wonder that is just absolutely awesome, and I remember sitting in trees like that as a kid.

Wow, I wish I'd had that tree at that age. Fruit aside, that was totally me at seven years old, always reading on branches. You even have the hair perfect, although not some other features.
