story sketch: the deep inks [update: 11-08-2011]
This is a sketch of
aldersprig's character, Autumn, from her Stranded World setting. In this story, a mysterious client has come to her ren faire booth seeking her skill with a different sort of ink painting.

Yay!

Yay!
Some things in this picture look thicker than seems ideal, like the pen (brush?) in her hand and the lacings on her bodice. Also, most garb has a combination of patterns -- usually on the bodice so you can match it with lots of things, but given the detailing on the arms, skirt would probably be better to fancy up a bit. Maybe a bit of white trim, slightly above the hem?

And the tree drawing in the window, and the trees outside!

I really, really like the cup of water. I don't know why that is my favorite part. But it is.

I remember this scene. I think her expression is just right.

Would the arms be self painting rather than tattoos so she can change them? Would that give her a better range of colours too?

I'm hoping we get to see more detailed artwork of her arms. :)

Alternate World Version?
I suppose the people in the foreground could be doing something consistent with that, even if I have no idea what.
Just a thought. Let it take you where it will. Or not, if you prefer.
Re: Alternate World Version?
On the other hand, is what she's wearing supposed to smooth things out?

Very cool!
