story sketch: rin [update: 10-26-2011]

This sketch features [personal profile] aldersprig 's character, Rin, a Callanthe princess, disguised as a low ranking army officer, in the days following her country's victory against its long-time enemy Bithrain. Stories about Rin and her unwilling travel companion, Bitrani prince Girey, can be found here.

<3!

Awesome, thank you! The landscapes looks just as I had pictured it... and goat! :-)

It's a very nice sketch. I love the perspective, it really has sense of depth to it and gives the scale so you can see these are large goats, not very short people.

Ooh, I like the cleaner version! Especially the detail--it's great being able to see Rin's face better. And the bridge and city below! I didn't notice that before! Is that the big scary bridge? Hmm, no, I don't think it could be, it's over a river, not a gorge. I like the detail on the saddle, too.

Ooh, thanks for the detail view, a lot of that gets lost from the smaller image. I love the focus/depth thing you've got going here!

Yay!

I remember hearing about those giant riding goats. You did a great job on that -- it looks like a goat, not a horse. The different levels of landscape stand out pretty well too.

Aww! I did not realize the goats were that big! (But I tend to miss details...) Love the background, too, and Rin's somewhat mournful expression.

Giant riding goats!! I'm in love! I like the hint of background developing, too - nice sense of distance and scale.

Oh yay! I've really been enjoying this story, so seeing the terrain like this is wonderful. I knew from the map that the land is very mountainous, but seeing it is more vivid.

Five here, and one anonymous over on DW makes six commenters! I'll work on cleaning up this sketch once I've finished the other two prompts in the queue :)

The goat really rocks! Also, Girey with the tent is a great detail.

I still love how pensive Rin looks. That makes this image for me. This could be a book cover.

Also, I have acquired a seldom-used Dreamwidth account!

Wow, the closeup of Rin is so very realistic! I really like the details of the saddle and the goat's determination to eat.

Oh, wow, look at THAT! The grass nearly pops off the screen at me, and I like the feel of the clouds around the other mountain tops!

It looks awesome! I hadn't realized before that Rin is playing with her hair, and that really adds a relaxed air to the piece. I like it.

*smile* I love the city close up (that would be so fun in color, too; Callanthe cities are very brightly painted).

Oh, the city! The description of that city over the river is a vivid one, and I remember it. I appreciate the way you've captured it.
