It's a very nice sketch. I love the perspective, it really has sense of depth to it and gives the scale so you can see these are large goats, not very short people.

Ooh, I like the cleaner version! Especially the detail--it's great being able to see Rin's face better. And the bridge and city below! I didn't notice that before! Is that the big scary bridge? Hmm, no, I don't think it could be, it's over a river, not a gorge. I like the detail on the saddle, too.

I remember hearing about those giant riding goats. You did a great job on that -- it looks like a goat, not a horse. The different levels of landscape stand out pretty well too.

The goats are supposed to be big enough to ride, so, the size of a large pony or a small horse.

That actually sounds interesting. *chuckle* I can't help but wonder if the giant bucks do some of the same things that ordinary bucks do to attract the does. I suspect the riding goats are mostly does or wethers, the way riding horses are usually mares or geldings.

Some of the Torn World stories deal with snow-unicorn breeding and/or genetics. There's one long multi-part story in progress, "Wild Snowy Chase," that deals with people pursuing an unexpected fresh source of genes; and my short story "On the Rocks" also mentions the challenge of keeping the herd going.

I have to sit down and discuss goat genetics with @Capriox at some point, since I'm still world-building on the fly (she raises Boers)

Wow, the closeup of Rin is so very realistic! I really like the details of the saddle and the goat's determination to eat.
