I've been rather busy of late, what with launching my first picture book, starting character designs for its sequel, and chatting with another author about doing three more...but today, at four thirty in the morning, I wasn't working on any of that. Instead, I found myself sketching this:

And ironically, I have I serial poem in which one of the characters calls on a relative who works in the Commedia del'Arte, needing a specialty puppet for a worthy cause. This made me think of that.
