story sketch: diapering dragons [update: 08-30-2011]
This sketch is from
aldersprig's suburban fantasy setting, dragons next door. Ten-year-old Juniper has offered to babysit the Smith's new baby, an adorable blue hatchling...who spits up acid and needs asbestos diapers.

Oh, it's adorable! I love the look on Juniper's face!
(I realize now I gave you all this color reference, knowing it was a black & white sketch... silly me! :-)

I love the way her skirt is swinging around her legs, and the glimpse of the dragon toys on the bookshelf.

I think the flagstones would look better if they had natural-looking texture rather than zigzags, but other than that, I really don't see anything else to comment on right now.

Are they at the Smiths' house, or at Juniper's family's house? From the scale of the furniture I'd assume Juniper's family's, but would they have a crib sized for a dragon hatchling?

It also amuses me greatly that dragons have teddy bears!
